Columbus Worthington Air recently spent some time at their local Ronald McDonald house. The team at CWA volunteered their time and energy to help serve food to the families and children that live in the house. They decided to go all out and provide a delicious City BBQ meal with all the fixings.
Darbi Cardwell, one of the CWA employees said, “It’s easy to take for granted a healthy family that is able to participate fully in physical activities, work and go to school, all without any physical, emotional, or mental obstacles that slow us down. It can be easy to lose touch with the reality of life and its trials and sicknesses. Serving alongside an organization who recognizes we all need each other was enlightening, humbling, compassionate and fulfilling. A smile, handshake, words of encouragement and just general conversation with the hurting families reminded us of the impact we can all make in the lives of others by sharing a little bit of oneself.”
